Volcanicast is a podcast. In theory, the purpose of this podcast is to discuss 'current events' as imagined by Google Trends However, in practice it is so much more than that.
Where is Volcanicast?
Uh. . . they broadcast from Cleveland, Ohio.
When is Volcanicast?
Well, they currently record on Monday evenings, but the show isn't usually released until Wednesday.
Why is Volcanicast?
That's an existential question. I think it's because Bob, Wes and/or Sam have too much free time on their hands, but I could be wrong. I could also be a pot calling a kettle black, considering that I do this nonsense here. In fact, according to Wes, I AM wrong, he claims it is because they like to sit around and BS, wanted an excuse to do so every week and thought that others might like to listen to the results. (two out of three ain't bad) A likely story.
How is Volcanicast?
I'm not even going to explain to you how grammatically incorrect that is. But it could be answered in one (or more) of these ways:
- Using microphones, spit guards, headphones, a special studio, a soundboard (and a board babe) at least one laptop, a compressor, and loads of alcohol.
- Or do you mean how do they do research? That depends on who we're talking about:
- Sam gets most of hers by asking her co-workers.
- Bob gets his done at the last possible second, probably be copying down whatever is on the first blog page that mentions it.
- Wes probably does the same, only not at the last minute.
- Or how did they come up with the idea for this nonsense? Again, alcohol, and lots of it.
Within the Volcanipedia we (and by we, I mean I, and by I, I mean Crazy Nutso) will attempt to revisit each episode, and to expunge upon matters brought up in each episode that were perhaps not made quite so clear in the show notes.
